OUR BOARD:
Ms. Karen Baker – Ms. Baker is the President of Advocates for Mentally Ill Housing. Ms. Baker is a registered R.N. and provides homecare service for those individuals who reside in Placer County. Mr. and Ms. Baker have a family member who is receiving mental health services in Placer County.
Mr. David Baker – Mr. Baker is the Secretary of Advocates of Mentally Ill Housing. Mr. Baker owns and operates his own construction company in Placer County.
Ms. Helen Rudolfi – Ms. Rudolfi is the Board Treasurer and has been a Board Member of Advocates for Mentally Ill Housing since its inception in 2003. Ms. Rudolfi is a retired local public school secretary. Ms. Rudolfi’s family member is receiving mental health services.
Ms. Maureen Hamil – Ms. Hamil has been a Board Member of Advocates for Mentally Ill Housing since its inception in 2003. Ms. Hamil is a retired local public school secretary. Ms. Hamil’s family member is receiving mental health services.
Ms. Suzi deFosset Ms. deFosset is the Executive Director of The Gathering Inn in Roseville which has become a social service organization for the homeless in Placer County. Ms. deFosset is the Vice President of the Advocates for Mentally Ill Housing. Ms. deFosset is now in her second term as Vice President. Ms. deFosset also holds the position of Board Chairperson with Placer Consortium on Homeless, an organization that focuses on homelessness in Placer County.
Ms. Kathy Sundown – is a R.N. in homecare and holds the position as a supervisor. Ms. Sundown was exposed to working with mental health clients at an early age through her mother who was a well-known advocate of mental health clients in the Santa Barbara area. Ms. Sundown has been an active community outreach Board member of the Advocates for Mentally Ill Housing for one year.
Ms. Joanne Nashlund – Ms. Nashlund is a “navigator” with Placer County’s Welcome Center – a consumer driven program. Ms. Nashlund is very active in the local community securing donations for special events and recruiting members from The Welcome Center as volunteers . Ms. Nashlund has been a Board Member of Advocates for Mentally Ill Housing for one year.
Kathleen Webster – Kathleen is a licensed Medical Esthetician since 1989. She has owned and operated a skin care clinic for 20 years in Auburn. Kathleen continues to practice Medical Esthetics in her clinic. She is also currently a contract educator and consultant to a major skin care firm, a position she has enjoyed for seven years. Kathleen has developed several special events, designed flyers, newsletters, and fundraising campaigns. She has strong computer skills as well as social marketing experience. Kathleen has been on the Board since June ’09.
