AMIH began as a subcommittee of NAMI Placer County in 2003.
AMIH took over the housing program previously operated by NAMI-Placer County.
AMIH is one of three statewide housing programs contracted with Placer County under the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA).
We are one of the local all-volunteer, non-profit organizations to have ever received the Emergency Housing
Assistance Program (EHAP) Grant for Homeless Programs/Mentally Ill in the State of California.
